If you are applying for service that is not currently available at your location:

1. Use the link above to Register and Login to our web site to complete the service application

2. Come to our office to complete the process and to pay all required fees

To apply for service(s) that is already available at your location please use the link above to Register and Login to our web site. Once logged in you can complete the service application and submit your documents.

If you have questions about what you will need to pay, please contact our office and we will provide you with the correct information.

Office hours are Monday – Thursday, 7:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. except holidays.

Service will not be started until all documentation is completed and required deposits and fees are paid. 

Customer or a responsible adult representative must be present to sign the work order at the time gas service is turned on by South Alabama Utilities serviceman. 

Please contact South Alabama Utilities at either of the phone numbers below to schedule an appointment for the serviceman to come to your location and turn on the requested service(s).  

If the water meter is locked out, the customer may request that the lock be removed and the meter valve will be left in the off position. Serviceman will not come back at a later time to turn the valve on for the water service.

If an appointment is scheduled and the serviceman has to go to the residence a second time to turn on gas service because the customer did not show up for the first appointment, then a service charge of $25.00 will be charged to the customer’s account.
